TreeZero EVP Jeff Foote Named Finalist in the 2017 Atlanta E3 Awards
Environmentalist Recognized for Global Vision, Leadership
ATLANTA – August 1, 2017 – Jeff Foote, executive vice president of sustainability at TreeZero, was named a finalist for the 2017 Atlanta E3 Awards. Presented by the Metro Atlanta Chamber, the awards celebrate organizations and individuals for their work in sustainable business practices.
Foote joined TreeZero in 2016 to spearhead sustainability efforts for the company and its environmentally responsible agro fiber paper products. He leads TreeZero’s carbon neutrality program as well as relationship development with environmental organizations across the globe. Prior to TreeZero, Foote was a tenured leader at The Coca-Cola Company, developing world-class conservation initiatives.
“My passion for helping organizations use fewer resources and become more profitable has been the driving force behind my professional journey,” said Foote. “I’ve had the opportunity to work on environmental issues on all seven continents while helping hundreds of organizations increase recycling, reduce energy and water use. I am extremely proud of the high-quality tree free carbon neutral paper TreeZero is supplying our customers. For many, it is a simple first step on the journey to a more circular economy.”
TreeZero reuses an existing byproduct made from a sugarcane waste that would typically be burned or landfilled for its tree free paper. Additionally, TreeZero has achieved carbon neutrality through a strategic alliance with Wildlife Works, which helps fund conservation efforts in Africa.
“Environmentally friendly and sustainable business practices are critical to our future, not just for metro Atlanta, but also for metro regions globally,” said Hala Moddelmog, president and CEO of the Metro Atlanta Chamber. “We are grateful for all of the companies that are recognized as E3 Award finalists. Their forward-thinking impact in keeping our region engaged in conservation is a great benefit to our ongoing quality of life.”
Winners in each category will be announced during a special event at the Marriott Marquis, Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017. For more information on the 2017 E3 Awards, visit www.atlantae3awards.com.
